The UCLA Women's Basketball program is proud to be participating with, and supporting Samaritan's Feet. Coach Close and the team were able to participate in a shoe distribution last season in Philadelphia, and are looking to continue their efforts this year. The Bruins will host a physical and virtual shoe drive on December 2 when UCLA host LMU in Pauley Pavilion.
In addition to the shoe drive before the game, Coach Close will remove her shoes and coach the December 2nd game barefoot to be the voice for the voiceless. The Women’s Basketball program hopes that a small sacrifice may lead to a much bigger impact in the community. With your help, the Bruins hope to positively impact the impoverished children of Southern California, and the US by raising 200+ pair of NEW shoes and socks at this game. All fans that bring an unused pair of shoes or make a $10 donation will receive a pair of complimentary tickets to the game (2 tickets).
Online donations will also help support the 200 shoe initiative. Just a $10 donation provides one pair of shoes for a child in need. We can't do it without you, so please give what you can and join us for a great day of basketball and community service.
